Within our new nation will be more environmrntal friendly or will we continue to rely on fossil fuels?

I would prefer the implementation of green technology as much as possible, with the remainder of less-demanding energy needs fufilled with alternative/hybrid energy technologies. Continental Africa, being endowed with innumerable natural resources, could be exploited (in the most positive, constructive way) as the new global leader in truly-clean energy technologies. The AU or even a clean energy intranational consortium should set goals to set new precedents in energy tech applications for continental-wide energy needs in infrastructure, agriculture, manufacturization, etc. For example, Germany has set a goal for 2050, hoping to have 80% efficiency in renewable energy applications for consumer and industrial use. It is geographically distanced further from the Equator than most African countries. If similar goals were established, certain African countries could be exporters of excess renewable energy, related applications for consumers and industry, and associated clean energy tech products (modular, clean power products, clean energy credit exchanges with international trade partners, etc.) We should go full tilt, tweaking Mother Nature's clean , wholesome power sources with the same concentrated focus & diligence that produced frequent space travel as experienced today...something that was unthinkable as well as incomprehensible decades ago...LIN!
That sounds good but heavy industrial growth needs coal natural gas diesel fuel and hydro power.Green is good for small planned residential communities but not much for industry
Exactly. That is the whole point.By not having oil reserves you become a procurer processor and industrial consumer of oil. This way you skip whole stages of industrial development and build allied industries around the oil production.Look at Nigeria it had oil for 60 years but had to import gasoline. It is now building a refinery system.Logitics in procurement of natural resources and processing them into finished goods should be our goal. This will mean our currency will expand and loosen and the value of our GDP will start on a high level
This is a complex question.I believe in a diverse energy portfolio micro hydro geo thermal natural gas clean coal as well as solar panels for all public buildings
