Question On Permanent Residency in Africa

**Sorry for the long post in advance

Peace to the whole BAIO!

I'm doing research on obtaining permanent residency on the continent of Africa. Every country seems to have a different set of rules. What I'm finding is there seem to be alot of "red tape" for African Americans to receive permant residency (not a tourist visa). Even the "Right To Abode" that Ghana offered isn't clear. It seems to benefit more of 1st and 2nd generation Africans more than A.A. ( https://youtu.be/afO-yvNrh18)

My question: I'm clear on the BAIO mission, goals, how the group plans to form a nation and receive land. In the interim period if any member of the BAIO wanted to get there feet "wet" in an African country does anyone know of a clear way/process that A.A can receive residency in a place like Ghana, Senegal, Angola, Tanzania, Kenya (insert any country)?

This may seem like a stupid question but for me it comes from an honest place. For context >> I'm already married in America so I can't marry a local in Africa for residency or citizenship. I have some student loan debt and two children so having 200K to start a business in Ghana for permanet residency (not a tourist visa) is a no go! I'm pretty sure there are a ton of scenarios out there that some of us are facing.

Again if we have any boots on the ground in an African country could they fully explain the process for receiving permanent residency in said country. One of my goals is in 5 years to have residency in a country on the continent.

  • I agree but not all African countries are the same.Dynast was just in Nigeria and he said he was without power for 6 hours one day and he was told that is an improvement..We have to get the infrastructure challenges up this is why China is in Africa..We Black People billions because African countries lack the logistics of the first world let’s work to correct it not candy coat it..Ethiopia and Rwanda are building free trade zones and make it easy for investors to come in with a streamlined process

    • Is Dynast planing a visit in Kenya? if so, can we meet. Situation is not that pathetic. Infrastructure challenges are there but those are opportunities for you and the other Black brothers and sisters. you are sitting out there watching Chinese and France win all government tenders.

There are many Free tade zones in Kenya and more are coming up for FDI.

Look, my brother, I would honestly host a black person in my place, what I would call reconnecting with my blood brothers and sisters come back home. This way, you will bypass many government bureaucracy in working and doing business in Africa.

      • The difference between us and the Chinese is the Chinese have diplomatic relations with Kenya and they are backed by treaty and law.We don’t have a government backing and financing us or we could be in Kenya yesterday. The Kenyan Government has relationships with the US government not Black America. The BAIO want to be that liaison between Black America and Africa but it’s going to take Africa putting up money logistics and MOU’s.A start could be building bilateral relationships with Black run cities in America something Africans refuse to do

          • Yes we are on the same page. Why do you think no Black leaders y’all about us collectively investing in stocks and bonds. We can also move our pension funds 401k Variable Annuities into African government  treasury bonds and securities. This will force them to recognize the Afrikstan

  • Over the year I have had the desire to demystify the notion that Africa is a million year backward. You will be suprised that most part of Africa are ven ahead of time and at par with developed countries. Aprt from Corruptions, which i agree it there, the other factors that drive economy are up to required standards. I said most part of Africa.

It is clear the western media has portrayed an awkward image of what Africa is. Corruption in China is an impendiment to doing business there but it's not amplified like in Africa.

  • Africa is not poor as it is perceived. Over the last one decade, African has made China the way it is today.

    • I should have rephrased that Africa lacks infrastructure. In doing business traffic jams power outages corruption and lack of competent skilled professionals in abundance is an impediment especially to small start up business without backing.I would suggest someone research the Export Import Bank the Overseas Investment corporation of America and other institutions to see if we can get membership and financial backing for investment in Africa

      • I have to research that I didn't even know there was a Import, Export Bank!

That would be major if they had a simplified way to access membership.

        • There is African Development Bank headquotered in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire and African Investment Bank based in Nairobi, Kenya. These are the institution that can finace mega projects in Africa.

If you are looking in establishing small and medium size project, liase with Jambo Capital Initiative, a microfinance based in Thika, Kenya.

  • I found this video from the blog in here titled "Repatriation To Ghana". This is a very informative video on residency in Ghana. The gentleman details the two main ways in starting a business in Ghana which cost 250,000 or 500,000$.

Then around the 5 minute mark he details a third way (less expensive) to file a business that would lead to getting a work permit and residency very quickly. Maybe this third option the brother laid can be replicated in any country on the continent.
