FIRST OF ALL, WHO IS "WE"?

We are a group of B.A.I.O. members who's mission will be to create, develop and maintain an online resource center geared towards the B.A.I.O. 's collective goal.

...AND WHAT IS THIS GROUPS AGENDA?

This groups agenda is to establish a significant presence of talented entrepreneurs, students, interns, volunteers, businessmen and women, skilled workers, contractors and businesses from the African diaspora willing to network and travel to the African continent to pursue business relationships with it's developing nations.

SO WHAT'S THE END GAME?

Ultimately to make sure the B.A.I.O. achieves it's end game... nationhood.

INTERESTING, BUT HOW WILL IT WORK?

The site will serve multiple functions. First, it will act as a network hub providing a way for the black diaspora to travel, find jobs, careers, launch joint ventures, as well as bid for, negotiate and secure contracts for infrastructure projects throughout the African continent.

OK, I'M LISTENING.

Second, it will allow African governments and African based companies to post listings and select from a registry of organisations, contractors and other professionals that meet the requirements for their particular projects.

Third, the site will have a rating and review system intended to improve the quality of subscriber's search results allowing them to choose sources with the best reputation in any particular field; establishing those with the highest ratings as top tier resources.

I LIKE WHAT I HEAR, BUT HOW DOES THIS BENEFIT THE B.A.I.O.?

The bottom line is this... the site will have the potential of becoming an invaluable resource tool at the B.A.I.O.'s disposal. Remember those top tier resources? This website will basically build the B.A.I.O's roledex of the highest quality professionals, business partners, skilled workers, and educated individuals needed to facilitate the B.A.I.O's nationhood goals.

Other benefits will include the ability to show proof of concept. Dismantling the stereotypes and stigma associated with black people; and more importantly developing a rapport with existing African nations while giving the B.A.I.O. a more strategic position when it comes to negotiations.

WHO SHOULD JION THIS GROUP?

This group is open to any individuals who have the desire, skill, talent and expertise to bring this vision to fruition. We also need your suggestions on how we can improve this site. This will be a team effort and everyone's insight will be appreciated. Constructive criticism is welcomed.

SO WHAT WORK NEEDS TO BE DONE?

Creating, developing and maintaining the site and directory.

Discussions regarding marketing strategies.

Seeking out companies looking to do business on the African continent.

Generate newsletters highlighting the site's progress, improvements in features and the accomplishments of it's subscriber's projects etc.

Reasearch and provide information on best business practices, travel accommodation, culture, and business opportunities etc.

Foster relationships between African governments and contractors.

Encourage B.A.I.O. membership.

    Hello from NV. Currently I'm working as an substitute grade school teacher. 5 years ago I tried to open an after school center for children of color, but the state gave me so much grief and push back, so that didn't happen. So I took it as a sign that maybe America is not the place for my center. In the meantime I pulled both of my children out of school (they're home schooled now) for the past year. Currently we are interested in moving to Africa where I could potentially open a school an/or center.

    I know l just gave my life story, but l wanted you all to know my intent. So networking with like minded people is the goal.
