There are several books on this enslaved experience, that all of our ancestors, our Egugun and our Ojirafo have endured. One notable fact that we all should explore is that our people that came before us, is that we always ran away from the killing plantations, and we always saved our resources or money to free ourselves. Afrikans have always lived in their own communities for centuries despite being heavily policed by the assimulated Irish and welsh. It was our quasi independent communities, that birthed the veseys and Nat turner to have a conscious to run away and have the courage to burn down houses and even families.. Maroon territories even existed in the southern and northern states from result of Afrikans winning wars in fight for freeing themselves.
