Statistics show that over forty-five million Africans in America spend over one trillion dollars yearly in America's economy. Yet, our communities don't get the same economic standards as other communities. Statistics also show that we are at the lowest scale on the economic totem pole.
I've heard that Black people are considered the golden geese by other nationalities because they can come into our communities and open businesses, and we will spend all our money in their stores. The time has come to spend our trillion on ourselves and join our people worldwide who unite as one people to take care of our own together.
The African Future Pledge is a pledge taken by people of African descent to make a moral commitment to pledge fifty percent of charitable donations for the benefit of Africans in America and in the diaspora. Because of our unique economic standing, we also pledge one dollar or more per week to secure a better economic condition, to take care of our future generations, and to secure a vibrant future. Imagine over 45 million Africans donating $1 a week.
We would have over $45 million weekly to pay for our children's college debt-free, build trade schools and businesses, give business loans, and more. A financial consultant estimates that it would take $15 million to give 100 students full college scholarships yearly. Fifteen million out of a trillion is like fifteen dollars out of one hundred.
Take the pledge and send our first Global 100 students to college. Let us educate our future generations in the technology they will need to be on equal standing or better than the rest of the world.
