When I asked my granddaughter what she thought of my idea of the African Future Pledge, she said to me, “Thank you, grandma, because we don’t have anyone looking out for us.”

If these words affect you the way they affected me, I implore you, my powerful people, African Americans, to save our children from the jackals that prey on them. Let us protect them from jails, institutions, fake stardom, a poor future, and death. Let us prepare our children for a powerful future. They have no one else.

One by one, the Black communities I grew up in are turning white: Brownsville, East New York, Bedford Stuyvesant, Fort Greene, and many more. Yul Anderson’s LinkedIn article Future of Black America 2053 predicts that by 2053, the future of African Americans will be wiped out. We have come too far to stop now.

More than half of white Americans attacked their own capital and killed and injured government officials in their demand to “make America great again.” To me this means they want to enslave Black people again.

Now, white Americans want African American history removed from public school institutions because it’s making white Americans feel bad. To me, this means white America wants to send Black Americans back to Africa.

This also means we must build our own schools and protect and build up the communities we have left in America. Kenya has built its first school called Freedom School, and its young generations are flourishing and not being affected by racism but are preparing for the global racism we face and the technology they will need for a great and independent future.

Our young generations need us desperately right now. They have no one else but us for their survival. If we have no other reason than that, let us raise the capital we need to support our children and prepare them for a rich, sustainable future.

Statistics show that over 45 million African Americans spend over 1.25 trillion in the American economy yearly. If we can spend over 1.25 trillion on the American economy, let us make sure we spend most of that money on our young generations and prepare them for a great future.

Other races have taken pledges among their people, and they are very successful. One race has raised over 65 trillion dollars for the future of their children. Our children are our future. Are they prepared? No! They are not. They are being messed with in the worst kind of ways, and we need to snatch them out of the hands of those who mean them harm.

We are a powerful people. We survived slavery, we created Civil Rights, and the struggle is not over. Now is the time to stop everything we fought for from disappearing. Now is the time to protect our youth and take them from the grips of powers that prey on them. Now is the time to restore them to their rightful place as a powerful people with a powerful future.

Our people in Africa are taking back their continent and building a powerful Wakanda for the African future. Let us build a great African future here in America or die trying in honor of our people who died and fought for the rights we enjoy today and for the sake of our young.

Let the African Future Pledge be a legacy to our young generations. My granddaughter's words are true right now. Our youth have no one looking out for them, not even their own people. Let us make our children proud of their people. Let us protect our youth by taking the African Future Pledge and prepare them for a great future.
